And redo your math.....its only about 35 cfm different using that equation. And where does ve come in?.....I didn't see it. Break it down even further to LS vs. Z6 and it is only 19cfm more (factory redlines).

A debate with just a little bit of "tech/info" is rare around here. Don't take anything I say personally (not saying you are, just letting you know)....I am stubborn :icon_biggrin:.

And evan's dynapak is known to read lower than a dynojet....I don't think it inflates numbers that much. It should be used only as a reference/tuning tool anyway.
where did you get 35 CFM? nah i'm not taking anything personal i like to talk with people who know what i'm talking about. i was just hoping you didn't take anything personal. yeah i guess i really didn't specify which t3, i just assumed we were talkin about the 50 trim. lol. guess that's what i get for assuming. Is it that rare for "tech/info" talk? man.. lol.

I didn't use VE. That was only air flowing into the engine with above equation (Engine volumetric flow). If i did use VE it would be a different equation for actual air flow, i guess the one you're actually looking for.

VE= "assuming theoretically" motor is pushing 100% = 1.0
but since that is not the case, stock motors are usually only pushing around 85% or .85. Things like cams, ported heads, intake manifolds etc... get closer to 100%. So with VE = .85

CFM = CID x RPM x VE
**** ---------------
**** 3456

so with that equation:
liter--CFM (true actual flow)
1.6--191
1.8--234
2.0--240

The 35 cfm is found by using 112 c.i. for an ls motor (or 109 for a gsr)

ve on a honda vtec motor is pretty high. I was reading an h22a was around 102%, and a s2000 motor somewhere around 112%. Don't ask me how, because I don't know, lol.

And Hardcore, do you ever plan on going ls/vtec? Or just getting a built setup in the near or distant future? You can buy a larger turbo now, and have a smaller powerband.....or buy one that fits the ls well. If you are using a log style manifold a .57 trim would work out well. If you have something like a topmount/ramhorn I would use the .50 trim.

aaah ok gotcha.

Yeah, i only assumed .85 since a lot of 4 cylinders relatively only flow 85% but i agree with the above statment the motors like the K, (s2k) F and some of the H to actually flow 100% to more then the average 4 cylinder. but it's really hard to tell unless you have a tool to determine actual flow.

i plan on having it built. idk about ls vtec. but def will have it built eventually. im looking ata t3/60-1 with a .70 A/R compressor, .63 A/R turbine, and a .57 compressor wheel. any guess approximately what it would spool at?

I have a t3/to4e .57 (sc34) and I get about 14 psi at 5000 rpm.
