well i when to the track last night and made 2 passes lil disappointed then i was in the burnout pit and doing a burn out then all the sudden it sounded like a subbie.... so i shut it off and pushed it off the track. so we loaded it on the trailer and got it to Reeves racing's shop and i pop the valve cover off. Come to find out the retainer broke in half and dropped a valve. so now i get to do my build a boosted CR-VTEC....

Maybe it's a blessing in disguise.

why should it have broken down if it wasn't a retainer?

i think he meant that he expected it to be more than just a retainer that would break. and from witnessing the 'spirited' nature in which he drives it....i agree. he got real lucky.
