idk the guy at agx said custom welding was involved. i talked to some guys on pp.com and they said they didnt need to weld anything, gds said they would take a look at it for me, but they said the same thing. they didnt think there was any welding involved at all.

If you've got money, just buy a manual car and sell yours.Lude98;80753 wrote:money ive got... time i dont have... and ive never done a swap before just a rebuild. its my daily driver to. so if i mess it up i have no car to drive

if you pay a shop to do it you are still without the car for as long as it will take them to do the swap, so how does that save time?Lude98;80753 wrote:money ive got... time i dont have... and ive never done a swap before just a rebuild. its my daily driver to. so if i mess it up i have no car to drive
I was broke, and did an auto to manual swap as my first automotive project ever when I was 17... on my daily driver... with two friends who were following my lead.
research research research... its that whole "measure twice, cut once" philosophy

There is no doubt in my mind I am fully capable of doing the swap. But I don’t have time, or the resources anymore. I moved into an apartment so I have no garage. I work 30+ hours a week. I’m taking 18 credit hours in my 3rd year of my mechanical engineering degree. All I asked was if anyone knew of a good tranny shop. So stop telling me to do it myself. Some constructive feedback about a good shop would be helpful.
