M.a.p. sensor

Post by JurScrx »

Okay, since I've replaced a bunch of stuff on this car,and it still isn't running right,I ask this. Could the M.A.P. sensor cause the car to idle crappy, and even die??I know the answer,:laughing1:<---just being cautious) I just want to get a second opinion before I go get a new one. I know it wouldn't hurt, but, strapped for cash this week.:icon_shaking:

Yeah vacuum too, but,if all you need to run is map, brake booster, and fpr,and all that's good. Then check the map sensor, correct?? This car is running like crap now. I had it running good. The ECU light is staying on now. Turn the blower fan on 4,and the cars ecu light goes off and the idle picks up,but the main relay keeps clicking. So,being new to this..i'm lost now. I've looked in a lot of manuals, but can't seem to find anything out. When the fans on, the ecu light goes off,it doesn't flash any codes.Screwed up I know.

Well,if the tps is in the cluster of crap w/ the map sensor, then no,because all i have is the map sensor. No charcoal cannister,no nothing. I was told all ya need is map,B.B.,and fpr. If this isn't right someone needs to clue my new ass in..lol

Wow my stuff different. My map sensor is hooked up on the fire wall, square, and plugs in to the first spot on the tb,closest to the front of the car. Only the map, brake booster and fpr are hooked up on the vacuum. Laugh all ya want to. There was a time you didn't know either. At least I'm trying to figure it out before I ask.

Crappy picture. 3 of a few I have. All,crappy. Sorry best I could do

The 4th gen did have the map not on the TB but on the fire wall, so you are good there. From what I can see in the pics the TPS is still hooked up too.
