OEM does not always = the best.

It could be a good filter depending on who makes it. I really dont know, I was more looking for data to back up your statement.

but try telling tony palo (tony1) that fram filters are bad. he has always ran nothing but fram filters and has never had a problem.

Research friend. Fram's are junk, the toughgard is better but still shoddy compared to a reg mobil 1 filter. Hell just open the box and take a look at the bypass valve in each. Not to mention the fram will bypass at a much lower rpm.
