build and spray or build and turbo
I'm working with a B18a1 motor and I wanted to get some oppinions on what I should do. I was looking at spraying, but heard both bad and good things... but I was also looking at turboing the piss out of it. I heard they are good motors to boost too. kinda debating on what to do, just looking for some oppinons. thanks.

do you need the extra power all the time, on tap?
or will you only need it when you have a full-open bottle?
nitrous is fun, but getting out and popping your trunk to open the bottle gets old REALLY quick

personally ive had nitrous'd cars, and ive had turbo'd cars
if it came down to it, i think i would go with the nitrous (if there is a refill station nearby)($3.40 a pound....15 lbs a week)
just for the reason of not pushing my motor to the limit everytime i have a piece of open road in front of me, (which with XXpsi of boost under your right foot you will use the turbo WAY more than you think!)
there really isnt much you have to do to an engine to prepare it for a good sized hit, besides a colder plug ($10). theres nothing wrong with swerving a 15 second car, knowing if you had to (electronic bottle opener) bust open a 13 second ass whoopin.
i HIGHLY recommend nitrous express, just a 100 shot took me from a 15.3 to a 13.8
if i were you and i wasnt lookng to have a year or two worth of headaches wondering "why is my car leaking oil, or why is my shit backfireing etc etc." drop $550 and enjoy

oh.... and for the sake of your car, PLEASE start with only like a 50-75 TOPS, figure out where it works for you. make sure youve got atleast factory recommended amount of fuel pressure, and dont spray below 4000 rpm

Hmm I'm entertaining the idea I ran 15.2-15.4 on street tires. W/o a built head. So I think I could do about the same. I might be hittin ya up for some more info.big pipe;99129 wrote:not a honda...SSSHHHHH
