The World May Have Ended (Rod Knocking)

So I just bought my 2001 GSR this week and thought I heard some noise and said well maybe that valve need to be adjusted. So I took it to this Honda Acura Tuning specialist in Columbus OH and they did the adjust and said well see if you still here that noise. Well I drove it and still heard it and well to make a long story short after an 20 min of listening with a stethoscope and three different guys they think that it is a rod knocking. On Monday I am taking it back and there going to drop the pan and find out. So what I need from everyone on here are options because you guys are all experts. So what other options do I have other than motor rebuild and long block swap. So If you have any ideas that are going to be cheaper than 2500 throw them out there. I cant do any work myself because I'm on internship in Ohio so what ever things will be done through a shop. Also what is the best place to get a long block if I do.

That sucks for sure. Definetley contact the seller on that one. You can get longblocks from numerous different place.....one of the most preferred is probabley H-Motors Online

O there will be hell for the seller come Monday once I have confirmation and you know the guy knew that it had this problem I mean he worked for Showdown Motorsports which is a pretty well known tuner shop. The real question is how much money should I demand he give me. Whats a GSR worth without a motor?

I'd make him repay u for whatever it costs to get fixed somewhere else. Under no circumstances would I let them fix it.

I'd demand what the full price of what it's gonna cost to fix it. Are at least half of it.
