honda motor swapers HELP

ok heres the deal my buddy has a 92 civic dx with the d15b7 in it and motor lost all compression so... he got a deal on a motor only thing is its a jdm motor block # d16a what all is needed for the swap i can find pinouts or anything on this.. i know vtec wires need ran also he has a 4 wire ox this motor has a 1 wire
what all do i need to know about this swap let me know thanx
we have the full motor all componets on it tranny and ecu from the d16A
just firured i would put that bold and in color so it can be seen
planing on installing the vtec motor with the new ecu and all like posted

how about more info like..

did you get a new ecu with the swap
are you swapping ecu's?
did you get a dizzy with the new motor
are you swapping dizzy's

if your not swapping either then all you have to do is pull the dizzy, harness and 1 wire o2 from the old motor transfer it to the new motor and swap motors. You will also need to swap intake manifolds and exhaust manifolds also

but if your swapping to a vtec motor and have a new dizzy and ecu then your going to have to run wires for vtec and 02 to the ecu, other then that the old harness will transfer and plug right in no questions. swap mounts and then drop it in and wire it up.

what your describing is confusing the engine stamp is d16a? that would be a non vtec obd0 engine hence the one wire o2 in which case the swap would be as easy as pulling the d15b7 and putting the d16a in and bolting all the d15 parts to the d16 since they both have the same physical dimensions basically the same motor. if it where a vtec motor it would would have a code of d16z6, d16y8, or d15b. even then whether it be vtec or not you can bolt it in and run it and worry about the wiring later...

all you need to wire, if you do in fact have vtec, is the vtec solenoid (pin a8) and the vtp switch (pin d6) 2 wires and a ground, one wire to the vtec solenoid, one wire to the vtp switch (blue wire on plug) and the black can just be ran to a ground not hard at all...

but there again we need to find out "for sure" what motor you have...

ya the code on the motor is d16a its a jdm motor with vtec pretty much what i heard is its like the zc motor or the d16z6
