Anyone got a H22 CRX?

Post by EightyTwo302 »

i was just curious if anyone has one on here. i'm sure someone does...

seems like the swap isn't really that bad, i've heard people crying about hammering and cutting for fitment. but thats not a big deal to me... that's what a welder is for....

just looking for input from experience...

it's bottled the last time I saw it, to much work to put a motor in thats heavier and makes hardly anymore power then a stock b16 plus to much moneys to swap to obd-1 just to use it and if your wanting the better h22 those come obd-2 so it's a waste of time and effort in my opinions.

I do beleive the obd-1 h22's came with 190hp and the obd-2 h22's came 220hp but I think those are special editions or something...thats only what I've read.

If I was you I'd just slap a B18 in it spend a few hundred in buying mounts and linkage and save yourself double or possibly triple the cost of doing the h22, but my opinion counts for nothing.

too much work.... hahaha... no no no.. a turbo mustang is quite a bit of work. relocating the Alternator, power steering, and the oil filter. homemade exhaust and ic piping. drilling and tapping... well, you know...

but just moving a few motor mounts around with some different axles, and shifter/clutch assembly doesn't sound all that complicated. from what i understand, thats the hard part, minus the wiring, etc.

its not like i haven't put a Complete wiring harness for EFI in a mustang that originally came carb...

your obviously not understanding, theres no use in spending money on a harness to swap to obd-1/obd-2, paying for a motor also hopeing the tranny is the right one and not the traction control one, half shafts, ecu, shift linkage, mounts and yada yada yada.

TO EXPENSIVE and worthless to do, now if you had the shit laying around then I'd say go for it but just trying to say it's not worth it to do when you can do a turbo b18 or all motor b18 or turbo d or something for hella cheaper.
