ive been thinkin of how to motivate the accord, heres the plan
my f22b2 block
h22 crank
pauter h22 rods
custom compression/ pin height wiseco pistons about 10.5-1
either an f22a6 head, or f22b1 head (not sure if i want vtec or not)
a little porting, and valve job
either with a nasty bisi cam
f22a6, or h23 IM
ported h22 TB
good I/H/E
tuned on crome P06
dsm 440s
little bit of spray
im hoping for 200 hp (at the flywheel)
i'll be happy with 180+
with the prelude trans im hopin to get it in the 15.2-14.8 area without the 75 shot
basically itll be a destroked, longrod, high comp, accord motor, with iron sleeves and forged pistons 86x90 instead of 85x95
i know ill lose some displacement, but itll help the motor want to rev ALOT better
and raising the comp. will probably make up for the low end i might lose
now i gotta find an H crank thatll fit my block
i found one locally CHEAP but its the later model thatll fit F23, that might be the way i go though so i can start with an extra mm of bore

what do you guys think?

block-free
crank-$100
rods-$400
pistons$400
bearings, rings,gaskets-$200
head-50
cam-$250
IM-$20
head work-$200-$500
ecu-$200
machine shop-$200-$300
tune-$300
$2200-$2700
basically same price as an H swap, same results as an H swap, twice the class as an H swap
i just think it would be great to run with guys DOHC VTECs, with a SOHC nonVTEC
and if i swapped to an H i would still have to pull it apart and sleeve it, and get new pistons if i was ever gonna boost. this bottom end at 10.5-1 comp.will be BULLETPROOF should hold 12-15psi until the car dissolves

if i cant find a 50mm h crank, i just might pick up the 55mm one i found. but then ill need a f23 block, which might be a better idea. less down time for the 'cord
87x90 same size as the h22, id love to see the tach go all the way to 8000 rpm

on the motor
full interior accord
i dont think its great but it wouldnt be too shabby
it would probably love some boost later down the road
maybe with good tires and clutch, and strippin a little weight.maybe low 14s

non vtec f22? you could probley just put some boost on it as is and make way more power and be alot faster for the same cost.

you should talk to chad aka twkdcd595 he has a boosted f22 and he put down good power with a stock motor and boost.
