So, some of you people know that i was planning on flying out to Portland, OR to purchase a CHERRY 88 prelude 4ws. Well, I get out of work today and saw i had a message on my phone. It was the guy from portland saying "Hey Eric, i have bad news-i sold the car today". Happens to be a guy that is buying the car for his daughter. This is some bogus !@#$!

Oh man that sucks. I feel your pain tho eric:
i found out that one of the sweet "Bring Bring" wheels I was buying has a crack in it(the additional pics make it look like the wheels were on a car that had a big accident)... so I'm not getting those either. :(

I had the option to have them repair it at no extra cost, or pay less and take them as is, but with the damage, they will never be as nice as I want them, so I'll never be completely happy with them, so I just said no thanks. I'll keep my eye out, hopefully I find a good set someday and have cash to buy them. but looks like it's on to option 2... just have to wait another month and a half until the wheels are actually out to distributors and available.

but Eric, I think we should do something to relieve our frustration... like go out to the west coast and bust some knee caps.

Here is a trick that i used once, mail or paypal the guy a penny to keep the car. The law says if you put any money down on the car the current owner can not sell it without your permission.

That sucks! If you're trying to look for a 3rd gen Prelude to buy, I can look for you on preludeonline.com (it's arguably the largest Prelude board in the country) if you want and see what's out there.
