+1 also as far as head gasket goes check for coolent in your oil, it will turn it a milky brown color.Silver Knight;84174 wrote:is your temp gauge starting to read more towards the HOT side? i dont remember any minor misfiring when mine blew. i did have misfire when my cap/rotor failed though.

another trick if the oil and coolant are fine.. is to start the motor and feel the radiator hose.. if it is extremely tight theres a good chance your getting exhaust in your water, very typical on other motors not sure about hondas

no its not really running too hot but it is smoking more than usaully even when it warms up. at first I was thinking it was because I have no cat but then it started like stumbling at idle every now and then. as far as you cap and rotor failing what do you mean by that?Silver Knight;84174 wrote:is your temp gauge starting to read more towards the HOT side? i dont remember any minor misfiring when mine blew. i did have misfire when my cap/rotor failed though.

Blown headgasket will/could cause misfire codes. A compression test/ leakdown test would be the best route to take next.HondaChild;84192 wrote:no its not really running too hot but it is smoking more than usaully even when it warms up. at first I was thinking it was because I have no cat but then it started like stumbling at idle every now and then. as far as you cap and rotor failing what do you mean by that?
