this set up not accounting for the driver mod will only see you at about 16.1 or 15.9 IF you can drive

with your 50/75 shot you might see 15.3 or so if you can drive.

Now gut the shit out of the car and then your should be around 14.9 or so with a a decent 60' foot

dale car is the fastest N/A EM1 in the area right now and it runs 14.5' with a fully built 200hp (wheel not crank HP) motor and a good 60' to give you a idea

and on the other end of the spectrum, there have been light hondas that have run 13.xx with a b-swap n/a (ls/b16)....no major motor mods.

either way its going to be hard with a 97 coupe.
just turbo the ls ..... get an ls tranny ...... and run low 12s

B16 running 14.9 with open header^^^ haha! I love it.

Edit: Im talking about Jake by the way.

And to the starter of this thread my si ran a 15.6 with header and cat back, that gives you a little more of an idea what you will run with that set up. You could always do what .:si:. did and have basically a full bolt on si and run 15.2s. Throw a 75 shot at that and youd be mid 14's.

well im going to take it to gateway sometime and see what happens. probably have to be spring for that though. but i cant afford to do too much right now i got bills due and gotta make sure they get paid and then i still owe money for the motor and stuff.

its not as expensive as a gsr or type r, has more torque than a b16, and i planned on doing ls vtec but now i have no cash so that plan will have to wait and so will the turbo idea

b18b is the best budget option for swap/turbo/quick.

Nobody can convince me otherwise. Plus the option of ls/vtec down the road (like he said) doesn't put you in a complete bind.

im looking for a vtec head right now to see if i can find one with a messed up valvetrain or something so i can throw in a type r valvetrain. as soon as i get some money that is. i only worked about 13 and a half hours and thats not enough lol. quick question though. what all do i need to do to safely rev up to 8k like an SI or GSR? just a main girdle?
