LS/VTEC Turbo vs CR/VTEC Turbo

Post by RyanA »

Also, if you are planning on doing a stock block without aftermarket sleeves, I'd stick with the LS. B20's with boost seem to be running on borrowed time.

If you are sleeving, another reason to use the LS block is because a lot of sleevers will not guarantee the water and oil not mixing on the B20 block after it's sleeved.

Another option is to be a dick (like me?) and sleeve a B16 block, get the B16 stroker crank and make an engine that most people will ASSume it's "just a B16"

i've thought about that... but with the shorter deck height, I'd still choose to do an LS or GSR block... a bored and stroked 2.26L LS block is still just an LSVtec
