Question About D motors
pull the plugs out and then use towels and a shop vac to remove the water, also with the plugs out crank the motor over it will allow the water to be forced out of the cylinders. Once all the water is out of the cylinders you can reinstall the plugs and see if it will start.
if you do all of this and the car wont crank correctly or start then i would consider swapping the motor, you will be able to swap the motor but you will have to swap the intake manifold and dizzy from the old motor to the new one and some of the sensors, plus you ll have to extend the collant temp sensor.
also unless your car was swapped it should not have the Z6 motor so you might want to dbl check which motor is actually in the car.

Yes, you can swap in a D16A6. Reuse your D16Z6 intake manifold and throttle body. You'll also need a P06 (1992-1995 Honda Civic DX/LX) ECU so you don't throw a code 21 and 22 for VTEC oil pressure and VTEC spool. And as stated earlier, your car is swapped if its a DX with a D16Z6.
