misfiring

i have a problem with my car misfiring i changed the plugs and wires and noticed that the wires were falling apart so after i got the wires all out and off and changed the plugs the misfiring is not as bad. Before the throttle was jumping from 0.0%-2.3% when i wasn't even touching the gas now it is jumping from 0.0%-0.8% any help would be awesome

new cap and rotor??? those wear out too ya know

yep that has about 1000 miles on it it was put on when we did my swap

either something is wrong with the dizzy or something is wrong with the cap and rotor.. youre gonna have to list your setup if you want more help.

it doesnt matter how old shit is. it means nothing.

ive had rotor with about 50 miles on it explode on me going down the hwy, etc etc.

the motor is a d16z6 with i/h/e that is all that is done to it

I think your car hates the fact that it is a billboard for honda lol, nah i'm playing.

What plugs/wires did you go with, obvioulsy you said you just changed those and replaced the cap and rotor a 1000 miles ago. Maybe possibly look at pulling the cap and rotor off and cleaning the prongs on the inside since you was misfiring after you replaced those to items then go from there.

grounds
cap
rotor
bad gas
injector
valves
ignition timing
cam timing
plugs
wires
coil
icm
bad dizzy (ckp, cyp sensors)
bad ecu
wiring
buning oil or coolant

start checking those for right now and get back with me.. if not any of the above i have lots more.

no i am pretty sure of it it is just one problem after another. lol i am using ngk plugs and the wires are xact. the old autolite wires i had on there had fallen apart and got stuck where the spark plug goes i am never using those again.

EDIT: the security guard at walmart thinks my car is sponsered by honda and that i make big bucks with my car. lol
