What are you tuning the car with? I'd also recommend dyno tuning rather then a street tune on a setup like this.91gsrcivic;76609 wrote:I'll ve doing the install, and probably most of the tuning. If I have any trouble I'll find someone that knows more.

all right so lets say you did buy a set, first im curious what you bought?
then far as tune, do you have any idea what your doing? if so i hope your useing an s300 (you best choice) also i hope your motor is more then mildly modded. ya itb's are cool and uncommon, thats becuse no one around here builds NA cars, that are more the mildly built so there is no need the only way your going to get a bang for your buck out of the set up is if you have a well modded motor and a good tune. just H/E wont do shit for you nor will some stage one cams. you need good valve train with some beefy cams and good fuel set up as well as "good" header and i express good (not a dc sport) and then you will be abole to see some good numbers as well as the tq curve the itbs offer.
well you wonted info and i have given it i expect to see photos and info sooner then later. o ya car looks good saw photo, what wheels are on it (black ones)

I hope you've done your homework. Because running ITBs on a daily driver in the midwest is ridiculous.
Honestly, they're more of a show-piece than anything (in my opinion). They look cool and sound good, and they give a better throttle response. But you can get equal power out of a single TB car, for a lot less trouble and money.
If you're for real, then go for it. You'll get nothing but encouragement from me.

I put a homemade set on a friends ls/vtec about 2-3 years ago. We adjusted the fuel with a apev-i vafc. We never put it on a dyno, but the butt dyno(tires screeching) were improved... How much ? good question. We ended up taking them off about 2 months later, because of lack of filters. It was fun and only costed us time. We sold them and got all of our money back. All in all i would do it again, just get it tuned and youu should be good to go. Good luck, and sounds like fun.
