I'm curious....

Post by HondaChild »

Okay so I have a basicly stock D16Y7 and I don't really care about making abunch of power with it or really having it "quick" I just want a bit more passing power, or any power in general. So I guess my questions are.

1) Would I gain anything from replacing my factory "HF manifold" with the manifold from an EX civic?

2) Would replacing my Y7 intake manifold with a manifold off of any other D-seires motor help it flow better and have a power effect, cause I have heard that the factory Y7 manifold is one of the worst flowing manifolds Honda made.
Thanks for the help.

Justin.

i ahve my stock y7 at the moment.. i did the Y8 intake manifold and throttle body along with the hondata heatshield gasket, and it rocks. the did an article about it in HCI a while back and picked up 16 horses with just these mods, i got the manifold and throttle body from jimmy at adrenaline for 50 bucks. after i did the manifold swap i got the password powerchanber intake. sex.

i also have an ex exhaust manifold in my garge if you want to buy it, just get the cat and the right midpipes to make it fit or else its going to be balls loud lol
