Yeah, that's way off. You probably have bent valves now. If you want to sell the car, PM me. IF you need another head, I have one with less than a mile on it since rebuilt...

no this motor only has 60,xxx miles and as far as i know the damn valve cover was never even off of it. this thing may be for sale i dont know its just pissing me off left and right. how can i tell if i have bent valves and whats an easy way to get this thing in time?

i did nothing to it....i bought it wrecked, the guy drove it to his house wrecked...and there it sat for over a year, til i bought it, trailered it home and am STILL trying to get it to run. when we unloaded it off the trailer, my buddies girlfriend was driving and me and my buddy was pushing, she kept saying she had it in neutral but it wasnt and we ended up pushing it off in gear:violent1: and the i got in and put it in neutral. i have seen it run when it was wrecked thats why i bought it. could pushing it in gear make it jump teeth? with it like this out of time i have got it to barely sputter and run lol

not likely...is the car stock??? reset the cams and try again...the worst the will happen is it still wont start and make sure the timing belt is tight

how will i know where its in time. i know they have to be pointing straight up when #1 is tdc, but how will i know im not 1 tooth off or something?? there is a little slack in the belt between the actual cam pullies
