Service history

Post by HondaChild »

Okay so my car is approaching 200,000 miles and it's still runnung perfect! But I was just wondering if there is anyway to find out the service history of my car i.e. when water pump and timing belt were replaced, because I don't want it to too late for me to change it I know there are signs of it goi ng bad but I don't want to let it get to that point. I know my car was almost always service at the the Honda dealer ship where it was purchased (Ed Napleton) so my question is would I be able to just go in there and ask to see the service history for my car? Thanks in advance.

yes, they should be able to tell you what all they have done to the car, as long as you give them the VIN or the name of the previous owner

I'm the third owner of my car so I know the previos but not the one before him.

Edit: never mind the original owner wrote his name in the owners manual. DUH!

yea i do believe you should be able to get ur service history from them even from previous owners. If you have owners link you can do it that way as well i believe but i am not 100% on that one. I am not sure if they can give a previous owners history although i see no reason why not.

You don't know what you're talking about. You're not very smart, and the things you're saying are nonsense. And I'm not angry. But you do need to shut up.

i doubt it will show up on carfax that shti is worthless ne ways. I found out from previous owner that my car had body work done to it at an acura dealer and nothing showed on carfax. Then when somebody ran into my car and i had it fixed i had someone do a carfax on it again about a year later and still nothing came up for it. So piss on the reliability of that thing

Yes, just bring up something that shows your the owner of the vehicle and the VIN. One thing that you said is kind of odd though. If you bought the car from Ed Napalton and it was serviced by Ed Napalton, wouldn't they have given you the service records when you bought the car? And if the maintainence was kept up on the car, your due for a T-Belt and Water Pump.

the only history they will have is the stuff that the particular dealership fixed, which could be nothing at all, or if the original owner serviced it at napelton, then it will all be on record.
