d series intake manifolds

anyone know if theres much of a performance increase when upgrading from a stock y8 manifold to an aftermarket one? and also, which aftermarket intake manifolds yeild the best increases?

nope. nothing worth the minimal gain. basically its like a cam gear. just moves the powerband around.

im on a 100% stock z6 intake manifold and throttlebody.

but i have heard z6 is better than the y8.

ive mostly heard that the y8 is better because of the bigger plenum, but a few arguements that the z6 has equal length runners which is better.

From what I've heard, the Y8 IM is the best one overall.
