My question is: why would you want to?
This post comes with a guarantee: I guarantee that I don't care what you think about it.

basically put..its just an old story. the saying use to be true years ago that you cannot switch back to conventional oil after using synthetic. but technology in oil is always getting better. read the whole thread i linked above for more specific reasons.

What I heard and read was that the seal-swelling characteristics of the synthetics were different from those of the mineral oils they replaced. If the seal-swell rate was lower, the seals shrank and oil leaked from crankshaft seals and rocker cover seals. If the rate was higher, the seals swelled a little extra and the engine was tight. Then if the owner changed back to mineral oil, or added a quart when no synthetic was to be had, things got really bad.

BUT LIKE I SAID THATS WHAT I HEARD AND THATS WHY I ASKED HIM TO EXPLAIN TO CLARIFY.

"There was a time when it WAS recommended not to switch back to dino once you had run synthetics and there was a reason. Later additive work by synthetic manufactures provided an oil that did not have the propensity to cause leaks and other issues."

case closed. :)

If all you have done to your car is a swap with bolt-ons, just get OEM non-synthetic oil. You drive a Honda, not a race car. Only about 6 out of 14 people in this thread require the use of a differnt oil other then OE recommendations.
