underdrive pulleys??

just wondering if anyone has used them. i have hurd that they can break the oil pump or something. I am looking at getting the underdrive pully set, a nother fadanza 7.5lb flywheel, and a header.

The problem most people have with underdrives is that they are not balanced nor do they have a harmonic balancer. This sends vibrations through the rotating assembly causing premature wear. Also the fains are minimal and if you have a system your going to put more of a strain on your electronics.

i just run an aem power steering pulley and an unorthadox alt. pulley with no problems. (my aem alt. pulley wasnt perfectly straight and i kept "wallowing" alt.bearings and shredding alt belts, that why I have the mismatch)

I dont rec. running a crank pulley for the reason zach stated above.

I dont think you will notice much of an improvement from an underdrive set, and of course I do not know what is done to your car, but there are other bolt ons that may be more worth your money.

save up and get some cams/cam gears, pistons, valves/valve springs, etc.

already have them all. going to do a turbo build now. well see what happens. the worst i could do is blow it up again. no big deal for me. lol
