But I don't really want a B16 either, I want to be more unique than that. Is there anything more powerful than a B16 that would be more unique and a good swap for my car? Been wondering about K series engines, and V6 engines. Anyone got any ideas?
turbo d. more power than a b swap and same or less money.

this is true, and for your goals it's probably your best bet

I thought about that as well, but here's what I came up with. Why turbo this one (180k+ miles) and come up with the same hp as a STOCK B16, when I could get a B16 and THEN turbo it and have that much more hp? It didn't make any sense. So I am looking for a more powerful motor instead of turboing the factory one.

...because the car will be turboed and FASTER than a stock b16 with more torque and useable horsepower for less money than the b16 swap. Plus, b-series turbo parts are a ton more expensive than d-series turbo parts, and d-series parts are easy to find and replace because they are everywhere and cheap... very unlike b-series parts.

Exactly. A STOCK B16. However, turbo the B16 and the turod D16 has no chance. I'm looking to make a race/show car. And I do not want the stock motor, it just simply would not produce the same about of hp in the long run than a B16 or other swap.

EDIT: I mean, I understand what you're getting at, cause to turbo it would be less expensive and then it would be faster than a more expensive B16 engine, but I am looking later down the line, it'd be worth getting a swap because then turboing that would make it even faster, ya know? I understand that it's gonna take time and money, and I'm willing to do that.

Blue Wolf I understand what you are saying but you can produce 400 hp on a D series motor like a Turbod B16 or B18. I would take out your motor build it for the turbo and then turbo it. If you build it right and get it tuned right you can have a 300-400 hp turbo d for less than a B16 turbod motor (meaning the B16A swap is gonna be 2-2500 plus a good turbo kit is 2500-3000 easily) So there your at 5-5500 when you put say 4,000 if that into your D and have more HP( Also I dont know exact cost on everything but I doubt it would cost more than 4,000) If I am wrong will someone please fix it.. I mean its your car do what you wanna do but for money and time building the D and turboing is the best way to go.

Also you dont have to build it either, you can buy a turbo kit for a d series and run it. I mean ya it has 180k on it but for a Honda that isnt shit. I have a B series and im wishing I would have sold it and gone D bc of cost of parts. The B16A is an awesome motor and not bad for the money but Turbo D all the way for the money.

Holy shit to that D16 in the hatch. I stand corrected on D-series engines. That is truly amazing, and makes me want to do that to mine. Although, with a B16 and doing the same things the B16 would have more hp, would it not? But Idk why I'd need more than what his D16 has, holy shit that is awesome for that engine. So then would it just be better to get a mini me swap and take it from there? Didn't know you could cram so much hp into the D-series..

Well you can produce alot of power on a Turbo B series but it will cost a hit ton to do so meaning like Mike did on his D series.

doing to a b everything he did to that d would cost you easily twice as much as doing it to a d... sure, you get more power, lets say you could get twice the power for arguments sake(a high estimate), but you spend a ton more money and have to fight tons of traction problems just to shave like 1.5 seconds off of your 1/4 mile time
