comp. ratio questions

Post by Drowzysleeper »

is there a way to tell what compression ratio i have. the motor i bought has aftermarket pistons, the guy said it was built for nos. he couldnt remember if ther were 9.5to1 or 10to1. its an ls motor so i figure that if the pistons are 10 to 1 the would be flat top pistons, and if they are 9.5to1 they would look similar to the stock ones. now does that sound right? or am i completely wrong. also if i took the head of for that i would have to replace it wouldnt i. any help would be great.... thank in advance

it would be very hard to tell even by looking at them. different companies use different designs.

lol, the 240 with torque thrusts, lol, i know joe. hes a pretty standup guy, so im sure you will get the answers you are looking for. i would also spend the money to get the motor re-balanced, ive heard some things of it. i would just spend the money to have it done. wink, wink.
