Just got a hold of this 95' HB 5spd civic. Anyone have suggestions and the pros/cons of the H22 vs the B18 with putting them into this car? Any idea on the prices of how much either of the conversions might cost?
Thanks! Also why can't I see the forsale part of the forums, I'm new here!

from my little knowledge of civic hatches, the B18 is an easy swap. The motor fits in with very little modification. However, The H22 requires many changes-some cutting, beefed up front suspension (to counter the heavy weight of the motor) and more time.
thats just my 2 cents.

Yea, I remember reading that in a magazine a while back. Hmm, looks like I'll go the B18 way!

Nah, keep the stock motor, freshen it up and enjoy 35+ mpg. These hatches are bad news and you best stay away from them. :santa5:

Build the D-series thats in there now, there cheaper and the wieght to power ratio will show once beefed up a tad. If you do any swap go all out and do a K-series, reason I say this is B-series and H-series swaps are so common now adays but the K-series needs love to.
