14b little bigger than a t25, better power top end...civicex442;18534 wrote:going on my stock d16y8. i have a choice of both to buy this weekend. which one would be best?

if ya port the 14b, and use a 2g eclipse or an evo3 o2 housing, you can make decent power from it, i know a guy whose running low 12's on a ported 14b eclipse, but to each his own, id choose 14b

all depends on the application, stock internals? then the t25 or 14b would be fine, if ya build up you can always port out the 14b and increase exh flow, id still say the 14b for now, 50 trim later on if your gonna full build the block

there is no ideal its all in what you want to use it for high horsepower or drivability. a t25 will spool fast and give you power early in the rpms making it nice for just driving around, a 14b is a bit bigger it will give you power a little later making more horsepower than the t25 higher in the rpms. if you want super high hp then you would go even bigger like a t3/t4 57 or 60 trim or bigger still. the bigger the turbo the more hp/torque but it will come much later in the rpms, you just have to decide what you want your car to do then you can decide on what turbo to get.Lotek;18614 wrote:what is the ideal turbo size for this engine?

I would go with the 14B. Thats what I'm using. A while back, stolle said something about copying adaptor plates. If stolle still wants to/can do that, I have a 14B to HF manifold adaptor plate.
