i'm still not seeing links and very much hard evidence. :wtf:
Neg rep is like candy on here, everyone loves to pass it out. I got it, kind of since I'm an "Asshole" :wtf:
I'm still a neighborhood ASSHOLE!

B-series vs. H-series

I like how interchangable the b series motors are ( since there are many different types ). I don't know if the h series has as many options like the b series do.

only positives I see to a h series is torque....which is countered with a little bit of weight. A turbo setup is a turbo setup for any type of motor. It should cost less for the b series ONLY because there is a bigger selection of parts.

do you have a vafc or something that will measure accurately? I know that for b swaps the tach reads high in the upper rpm range, so it *could* say 9 and actually be around 8200 :dunno:

lets see some evidence or supporting arguement on both sides

No I dont but im going by what my RPM gage says and I can take it to 9, so by reading that YES a prelude can be taken to 9k.

Well considering the h22a redlines at 7400rpm stock (JDM not sure about USDM's) I would think taking it to 9k would be pointless and very dangerous on a stock motor, unless you like dropping valves.

USDM is 7400 as well, and I dont sit there and take it to 9k every chance I get, If I am taking it up in the higher rpm's whic is ever so rarely, I take it to about 7200, but I have hit 9k before and didnt drop any valves, the motor is just fine.

Oh i know im just sayin its weird that you can take yours that high.. i thought the fuel cut would be at like 7600rpm.

Not to bash or anything but it's probably pointless to take it to 9,000 rpms anyway, does it even make power above redline? The only reason I can think of to rev that high on a stock h22 is if it drops you under vtec engagement when you shift at normal redline, and it keeps you in vtec if you shift higher like at 9k.

Although I don't know, I am far from an H-Series guru.
