B-series vs. H-series
Yeah this was kinda pointless. I guess i was taken as saying the h22's are weak useless motors or something.. My whole argument was the price of swapping in the 2 into a civic or integra.. I;ve seen quite a few 400hp stock h22 setups for drag so the motors are good and strong. But they are not the idea swap choice for those cars.Spork;12932 wrote:my response: my thread, I'll post an assload of quoting if I want. maybe someone will find something in those posts to respond to and stimulate more discussion. so you can negi-rep me if you want, and you don't have to read it,I don't care, but its staying in the thread. and thanks for deciding that, of all of my posts, that one should earn me my first negative rep (and probably this one, my second)
i'm still not seeing links and very much hard evidence. :wtf:

Well its been done so apparently its not impossible. The motor really isnt worth the amount your thinking. I almost bought a perfectly good working h22a for $100 from Eric, and a tranny wouldnt be a lot either from a totaled prelude, which I do find often on the net.
A junkyard turbo kit can be made for $1000 for a prelude.
Oh and also the 9k redline Trock can vouche for it and also I believe 99BlackHatch has seen it happen in my car before.

sure, and from my background in 3rd gen accords, where people had to custom fab mount kits for both motors, the b-series motors were always the favorites. I recall one h22 swap attempt that FAILED, they couldn't get the motor to fit and the car was never finished, it was either too low for ground clearence/axle angle, or too high to close the hood :dunno:b18b-t;12941 wrote:Yeah this was kinda pointless.
