swap delima

i got an eg hatch shell. i also got a ls motor with a bad block that needs to be honed or bored. my initial plan was to rebuild the ls for boost and then boost it somewhere down the road. now the delima im thinking it would cost about the sam amount to build the ls as it would to buy a complete b16 swap. i have been going back and fourth between ls/vtec, b16, and turbo ls. i cannot make up my mind so im looking towards my friends on the forum please help and thanks in advance.

If I ever had the chance to go B-Series, I'd probably go B16. From what I've see, there pretty good motors and aren't to hard of a swap to do now days with all the avalible info on them.

i agree but i wouldnt have anything to do with my other engine. i guess i could assemble it and sell it. eh

I'd Boost, possibly look up and see how a ls with boost is, maybe build a monster ls/vtec with boost

but if your going vtec I wouldn't just go B16 I go all out and just do the swap. Get ya a nice ls block with low miles put some goodies in it then slap a a B16 head on it lots cheaper then buying a b16 outright and ls/vtec makes more power. my .02

I'd say go ls/vtec. A guy on stlsr is selling a b18c head for 250ish. That wouldn't be bad, at all.

im really wanting to do the ls vtec but i was thinking it would be about 2000 to build my bottom end, buy the head and lsvtec kit, also i would need the head. if i do it im wanting to use the b16 head, but i guess i could switch the head later on down the road if im wantin more power. do you happen to know what the guys screenname is sellin the gsr head?

i think you are talking about me when i had mine up for sale like 2 months ago. i'm not selling it anymore. its going on my car now :rockon6rk:
