7 in flip out or a 7 in dbl din ???

Post by Teg-Potential »

I have an '00 integra and i've always wanted a flip out or a dbl din monitor in the dash to seem more luxurious like a lexus or even just the TSX. But i've yet to see any tegs with it. Anyone got any pictures or has anyone had any experience with it? I kno its possible with quite a bit of fabrication like most of anything can be. but wondering if anyone has done it before i go get some bewilder looks from some fabricator

flip screens dont go well in an integra. id go with the indash flush screen. but then careful when you shift. ive seen people punch their screen on accident

I would deff. roll the indash. To many things could go wrong with the flip out.

in a teg a ddin is the only way to go, just as mentioned before.. it might take a few custom brackets unless you have the doubledin mount kit but shouldnt be hard at all.. shouldnt have to cut anything..

i've actually seen people put flipout's on DA's and they sit at such an angle that they end up facing the floor.. not sure why anyone would go for that..

Double din without a doubt. Go for the "almost factory it looks so clean" install

I have a flip out and this is true... but keep in mind, with the in-dash you expose your headunit much more out to bypassers...my friend has a in dash in his tC, but his worked out perfect cause it has a lil plate that folds down to cover up the radio (stock.).
