why would u need to swap out vtec solenoids? those things never go out. most of the people who have a prob with those just turns out the screen needs to be cleaned so the vtec solenoid is not your problem. the solenoid is not going to affect how your car idles. its only purpose is to control when vtec engages and disengages. nothing more, nothing less.

the car isn't going into v-tec at all either, it's acting like its in a safe mode or something. Has ne one ever experienced this after a head rebuild?

if the car is going into "safe mode" you need to buy another ecu. sounds like yours is done. see if you can borrow one from someone on here who has a obdII vtec ecu. i'd help you but i switched to obdI

yeah what up man, i'm tryin to get some help but everyone keeps telling me my ecu is done... but the car only has 130,xxx on it and ecu's just dont go bad. Unless hondas are just all pos's?

of course the engine light will be on... but it was idling pretty good today, but still no v-tec... does ne one want to let me barrow there b18c1 ecu??? come on now????

You need to figure out why the check engine light is on first. That will most likely fix your problem :doh:
