Really, I never see a Type R around here, I haven't even seen the girl that drives one for a like a year or two. It's definitely not me, I don't think I've been on the Rock rd in years.

I thought in order to get into auctions you had to be in their "special network" or whatever it's called, I don't think any joe off the street can go to those can they?

1. How do you guys determine the total value of the car that will be paid out?

and..

2. When do you guys offer your client to buy the car back?

1. We use N.A.D.A. to determine the value of a vehicle. That includes the mileage and options. We do take off the value if your car has UPD (unidentified prior damage), I'm not talking about door dinges and sctratches, but more like crackes in bumpers from other accidents, rust, interior rips, hail, ect. Also we get a salvage bid from a vendor for the total loss.

2. I really don't know that situation becuase I don't really deal with that side of the claims. But I would think it's still your car until you take the check. I would figure you can work with your handling rep to come to an amount to buy your car back.

in all of the buy backs I have been involved with, they usually will settle for a few hundred less than the TL number... but, this depends on what the company can make from selling your car to a salvage/auction yard. in some cases its $100, some its $400 or more... all cars are different.

I have no idea. I can't go to them because of conflict of interest. Sorry

Recent work done to your car..would that have an impact on the total value?
