Like Dale said earlier to myself and Paul.
-"Take an LS1 car and throw on a 300 shot. They will eat it up, now... go outside and throw a 300 shot on one of our cars... That shit won't fly."
There are so many factors and things that can make or break a race. Weight is one of the main factors, another being tranny gearing, the amount of RPMS, the amount of power and torque of course. And if you want to add another, driver skill.
With imports like "our" cars on this forum, the only thing that saves us in our racing with other cars, is one the weight of our cars. They have a lot more torque than we do.
Also to add... you can take a car and make it fast. You can add every bolt on, power adder and such that you want to make it fast. Eventually, you can keep adding power adders and not go faster at all.
You'll NEED to lose weight on and in the car to gain lower times and higher speeds. One way to help beat heavier cars at the track,
is to start out with a lighter car in the first place.
