Im posting this up but i will be scouring h-t for info as well as consulting the helms manual but im having some issues with my a/c. I dont wanna hear anything about ditching the a/c, its staying on the car. It worked fine about 3 months ago but i had to dis-charge the system so i could remove the low pressure line and bend it a little so the header/radiator set-up would clear without rubbing. Car sat for a couple months and then ever sense i cant seem to get it working properly. I replaced the expansion valve the other day and cleaned out the evaporator sense it had all kinds of crap on it'. I re-filled with r134-a to about 35psi i believe and the system holds the pressure fine, the fan kicks on, the ac condensor kicks on, it blows air but its just not really "cold" air.....its colder than the temperature outside but its not much cooler'. Ive already replaced the fan blower about 6 months ago because it went out and then shortly after replaced the fan switch thats located right on top of the blower under the glovebox as well because that also had finally crapped out on me.'
ill be scouring h-t for info and the helms but figured id post it here for future reference.
thanks

um did you vacuum the system out before you recharged?
you need one of these and a gauge/hose set

Mike is right, you have to suck all the air out of the system.

also, when you cahrge it, try to do it on a not so humid day. you will get better results. im not too fimiliar with buying cans of 134, but charge it to the specs located on the label under the hood. it will be in kg/lbs, try to get it to the max spec.

this is what you need..........scroll down til you find your application. Typically Integra's and most civics use around a max capacity of 24oz. Thats exactly 2 of the cans you buy at the storeDigital Sol;189015 wrote:thanks fellas, i appreciate the info'

It comes with hose/connectors. If it works once its worth the $13, it would be cheaper than going to a shop and asking them to do it.dcdorthydriver;189016 wrote:is that pump actually worth a crap for $13?
