92-95 Civic Specifications

Post by rycrkt »

I own a 93 CX and a 94 Si both USDM. I always thought they were EG chassis code. According to this spec sheet my cars are EH2 and EH3. Everyone refers to them as EGs. In the broadest sense the Si would classify as EG6 with a JDM B16A swap but its still an EH3 chassis.

eg is the jdm classification...i believe. but its used as a well known vernacular (word of the day)..for the type of car that it is. eh2 and eh3 are the usdm classification.
You can talk shit all you want! eventually noone will care about your input. :yo:

eh = usdm chassis codes
EG = JDM chassis codes

and NO your eg with a b16 does not qualify as a eg6 because it's still left hand drive

I never checked before, but look at your firewall vin. It may have some sort of eg designation. It sounds dumb, but in Toyota land a usdm sw21 is a non turbo mr2 and an sw22 is a turbo car. In japan the chassis code is sw20. I own a 93 usdm turbo car. It clearly says sw22**** on the dash vin, but on the firewall vin it says sw20*****. Seems weird, but that's how it is. Maybe Honda's are the same way.
