Turbo d questions
I have been running Vitara pistons in my motor for over 3 years and 20000 miles. If I were to do it all over again, I would NOT use Vitara pistons. The reason being is because of the noise the pistons make. If you are on a tight budget then I would go ahead and get them. They have been holding my 300whp very well.
As far as putting a z6 head on a y8 block, you can do it if you want to but it wont make a big difference. I would either use a complete y8 or a complete z6.

I have 75.5 mm vitaras in my motor and the block was honed to match so I dont have the normal vitara piston slap noise and my motor sounds stock. Def great if you are on a budget.
Like snailfed said, use the y8 head on the y8 block, they are supose to be better than the z6's heads anyways.
