Alright guys I want to get a running tally of who all are interested in attending this meet for an estimate on space needed. If you are interested just make a post in here. I do not have an exact date or time yet but I'm sure the owners are going to want to know how much room we are going to need. I am also going to ask some friends on 8thcivic.com

I would like to start out with any local people, you can invite your friends with their rides but only if you can trust them. When I say "trust" what I’m trying to say is we don’t need fights or some ignorant people there acting like children. We need this to go well because if it doesn't it will simply just not happen again. Plus it will give not only Stlhondas a bad name if it goes bad but the car community as a whole in that area.

Anyways yeah that’s pretty much the information I’m going to need before we bring it before the owners. The rest Jim and I will take care of. I'm going to be going to the "Thursday Nights- St. Louis Bubble Tea" meet next week also with Jim and if you want to be involved in helping out and can say who all will be coming to this meet, show up its supposed to be nice plus I really want to meet you guys! It's supposed to be 70 next Thursday that will be perfect.

You are getting way ahead of yourself with talk of vendors and sponsors when no permission has been given from anyone. When you talk with the supposed "owners" that you know make sure you come to a conclusion on a day of the week and a time frame. From the business perspective if they do allow you to hold these meets they will most likely want everyone to come during business hours in hopes of attracting more customers. Holding the meet at these hours will also help since a manager or someone of authority will most likely be on site, or at least easy to get ahold of in case there is trouble. If you want it to happen after hours, then there will no doubt be numerous problems with the police, even if everyone acts civil. Either way the city will consider a "meet" loitering, so the proper precautions will have to be taken to make sure that this can be successful.

Them were idea's that would be cool one day but the whole idea behind a "Mall Meet" is a meet and thats it. I don't want a car show or anything like that right now. The details of permits from the city and officers patroling the area would be handled through connections that we both have so "pissing off the city" wouldn't even remotely happen. Permission to do this would all be granted def not an issue at all to gain access.

Althought the idea of a car show would be pretty sick down the road if this meet got bigger and bigger

I will still maybe have a photographer on hand if people want to get pics taken, and from what I have been seeing there are atleast one more on here that can do it also so much needed pictures would be taken care of.

So I was thinking this would be a once every blue moon thing. Thats why i suggested a dj. Obviously a dj won't come to a weekly meet. And do you really think Crestwood would be ok with something like that?

I think the reason why bbt has worked so great in the past was because we were a small responsible group that actually brought money to them. We never bother any of their neigbors and even whe db's do show up and trash the place, we'd clean up just because we didn't want our spot ruined. Basically we kind of police ourselves and the bbt people trust us enough on their property not to run us off or without assigning handlers to us.

Lets be honest, crestwood won't generate any revenue (nothing substantial at least) from a weekly meet there. That garage seems like overkill based on size alone for a weekly meet. I think it would be best reserved for a large scale meet. Like the Starved Rock meets. I think it would be absolutely awesome for something like that.

Just my 2% of a 1$ bill.

Until I have an idea how many people would be interested in going I couldn't say how much room would be needed. The echo off the parking garage would sound awesome for a meet lol. And getting the mall to allow this isn't going to be a problem my buddy Jim is going to take care of it, so that isn't going to be an issue. If you guys go to bbt this week I'll bring it up then and explain more on it.
