Columbia Spring Meet 2011 TEASER

Hey guys whats up, so for as many of you all who came to the Spring Meet in April of 2010 in Columbia MO it was an awesome time....well except the rain! Well the second annual meet is still going on. I have had many questions and concerns to if the meet was going to be contiuned and it is, but instead of the meet being held in April, we are pushing it back to Early-Mid June to hope for better weather. Last year we had 250+ cars from all over Missouri and surrounding states and well over 300 people. We are hoping for even more this year. We are in a stand still right now because we trying to get a larger parking lot that will accomidate the attendance, (considering last year the parking lot had 250 parking spots and we filled every single one!) Will be grilling up some burgers and hot dogs like last year, plus we are hoping to have a cruise at the end of the day (had one planned out for last year but rain made it a no go.) So anyways just giving everyone a heads up, should have the actual thread up within the next week or two. Hope to see everyone out!

I suggest Cosmo park for the meet, its much bigger and easier for people to find.

The largest lot at Cosmo holds 83 cars i believe. And thats Harris/Dexhimer shelter. Now there is Rainbow fields also, which is right by Cosmo or maybe its a branch off of Cosmo (if so then my previous statement is wrong lol) and it holds around 500 cars. We are shooting for Hickman right now, but if we dont get a response within the next week im calling to reserve Rainbow fields.

Should be a great time this year guys! Invite everyone and their brother....(or sister). Im hoping to break 300 cars this year, came close last year..

Yes sir, everything from a ruckus to an army truck (yes we had a huge army truck show up last year...took up like 10 spots haha) are invited!

Update: Just had a meeting with the head of Parking and Transportation. The proposal was approved by him, and he said he could get me 500-1000 spots behind hearnes most likely with no fee what so ever. Now he has to contact the athletic department to make sure nothing is going on the first or second saturday of June. So its looks as if the meet will be held at MU this year on either the 4th or 11th of June

so its a summer meet instead of a spring meet.
