TN4 - Tennessee CRX meet - Oct1 - 3rd 2010

Post by tonyguns »

Hi, this is my first post here, but I have been around the CRX community for years. I saw someone from this forum at Import Alliance this summer and I told him about the Tennessee CRX meet I have been running for the last 3 years.

Well, This years meet has finally come together, and I hope to see some new faces and CRXs from the Stl forum this year. The meet is held at Reddell Honda's new car lot on Saturday, October 2nd, but we have reserved camping for people to stay with us in the area for the whole weekend. The entire weekend is just 10.00 which includes camping.

All Meet related details can be found at the link which is just an information site only listed below. The meet is run in the spirit of the Niagara CRX meet, and is pretty laid back. It is completely Non profit, and has been a real low-key, CRX only event where lots of ideas and cool stories have been shared.

To register, check out the Meet's website at: TN4 Tennessee CRX Meet 2010

or http://tennesseecrxgroup.com/

I hope to see you there, and meet a few people from the Stl area that are on this board.

Tony (tonyguns on every Honda related board)

I'd go to this but I'm not sure my CRX would make it that far. I've never tested it more than 50 miles from home.

For anyone interested, I mapquested it and this is about 3.5 hours away.

I hope you get it figured out...

FYI though, we do have the ability to program ECUs if you already have it chipped. PM me if you think anyone might want to have this done, it is one of our members who does it and i know he charges a fee, but he's really cheap, but i'd probably need to know in advance if anyone would like him to do this since we are generally there to hang out..

if you dont think you car will make it another 3.5 hours you might as well get rid of it now :). highway driving is a lot easier on a car than stop go commuting, i would go but my wife would kill me.

I'm sure it would, I'm just paranoid. I couldn't afford a tow bill so I'm afraid of some crazy stuff happening the one time I don't expect it to.

If your wife would kill you for something as harmless as a car meet, you might as well get rid of her now :)

Another option would be to bring her along.

BTW, I may just have to organize a Wagovan invasion of this exclusionary elitist CRX meet. Where's the EF brotherly love?

We definitely don't want to come off as elitist, but our meet tries to gather all those people who have a passion for the CRX. I don't have any intention to recreate an import meet, or even a full blown Honda meet, and actually love the wagon, but i have lots of space available if you guys want to camp with us, PM me for my contact info if you want to discuss further.
