speedo question

its a 92 civic vx my question is that when you frist start driving unless you tap the side of the dash the speedo doesn't work and some times it will read five milles faster than what you are going and also some times say if your doing 60 it will go to 120 to 30 back to 60 and i checked the wiring and all of it is good

get a new cluster.

def x2. BUT, I also had this same prob one time, and it was my vss... so ya, def try the cluster first though

Check the grounding points of the cluster and the engine/tranny.
