Del Sol Rear Window compartment full of water?
driving around, heard water, thought it might just be the gas tank since i could only hear it when the window was down and couldnt find any water anywhere. then took a turn a little quickly and a friend noticed water had splashed into the interior from there. how can i get that water out easily?

the water is in the area that the rear window rolls down into, so idk how i would get a shop vac in there. only thing i can really think of is drilling a hole in the bottom and letting it drain out, but idk if thats such a good idea......SlowOne.5;107512 wrote:shop vac is the 1st thing to come to mind for me.

ah, mis-understood where you were speaking of. well wouldn't that panel come off? i mean it would have to. either from the inside, or the trunk area anyhow.
i'd check into replacing your gaskets, unless you just left the window down on accident...

Del Sol Rear Window compartment full of water?
There are 2 drains for the back window located under the rear storage bins behind the seat I going to guess that these both got pluged up somehow (leaves, debris) if you remove your storage bins you will see the 2 drains, 1 per side (looks almost like split loom) it maybe possible to pull the end off and use a piece of wire to clear the blockage, and when it starts to drain push the hose back in the drain hole to save the interior. I wouldn't pull the end off that goes into the window track but the end that goes into the chassis. I've taken pics and circled where the drain goes into the chassis in red. Hope this helps. since the rear compartment is 1 large area I would try and just undo the passenger side drain as it seems easier to get to.
