should we all just get the things that we need to cook like BBQ pit and a table and when we all meet up should we all just pitch in like $4-$5 and designate someone to go buy the food (hot dogs and buns and chips and sodas)?

either way works for me.

We could just make a list and have people put their names next to what they are going to bring and just say you have to bring $5 worth or something.

Plates
Drinks
Ice
Chips
Condiments
Napkins
Hot Dogs
Hamburgers
Buns
Charcoal

Now that I think about it, Just having someone pick up everythign probably would be best.

I agree with that but what if last miunte someone cant make it? Then we are screwed on charcoal. just sayin.
