OMA is Laumeier's outdoor event venue for a series of entertainment events throughout the year. An interesting mix of entertainment, food and beverages and the relaxed atmosphere of an open-air amphitheatre amid large-scale sculptures make this a venue for not-to-be-missed events!

Music+Movies features a local band followed by an outdoor movie on four Fridays in June. The series is free, and picnic baskets and lawn chairs are encouraged. Concessions will be available. Coolers permitted, no glass please. No pets allowed for special events.

2009 Music+Movies: Summer Blockbusters:

June 5: 7 PM: Hudson & The HooDoo Cats, 8:30 PM: The Great Outdoors (1988 - PG)
June 12: 7 PM: Arvell and Co., 8:30 PM: Kung Fu Panda (2008 - PG)
June 19: 7 PM: Ticket to the Beatles, 8:30 PM: Jurassic Park (1993 - PG-13)
June 26: 7 PM: Bored of Education, 8:30 PM: The Sandlot (1993 - PG)

In case of inclement weather, Music+Movies will be held the following night.

The inaugural year of LOMA brought the Budweiser True Music Festival to the venue on September 23-25, 2005. B.B. King, The Indigo Girls, James Brown, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Ari Heist came to Laumeier for three nights of spectacualr entertainment. In 2006, The Budweiser True Music Festival at LOMA featured Cowboy Junkies, Shelby Lynne, Darkstar Orchestra, Jonathan Cour, Peter Mayer and R.Scott Bryan on September 15 and 16. In 2007, LOMA hosted The Budweiser True Music Festival in partnership with Twangfest and KDHX. The concerts on September 14, 2007 featured The Hibernauts, Gentleman Auction House, Glossary and Todd Snyder. Since 2007, LOMA has hosted the Music+Movies Series pairing local musicians and movies under the stars.

LOMA is located within Laumeier Sculpture Park near the intersection of I-44 and I-270 at 12580 Rott Road. Click here for directions and information, or call 314-821-1209.
