I need some help.

Post by Midori »

About 3 months ago I did the mini me swap on my 96 Hatch, ever since then the radio wont work and the back lights in my guage cluster in the far right circle go out after about 25 minutes of driving, there are no fuses blown and the only wiring we had to do was for the vtec and the iacv fix. if anyone else has had this problem or know what going on let me know!

I have a feeling the mini-me swap had nothing to do with the issue. Pull the radio and the cluster then go to town with a multi meter, or simply rerun the wires.

Stereo Wiring

Post by LIKE2PLAY »

I agree that this most likely doesn't have anything to do with the swap......I installed car audio for along time and the best is to check the head unit wiring. most of the time the person that installed the radio didn't either hook up the dimmer or hooked the dimmer incorrectly. The dimmer wire is normally orange on the wiring harness. It can ground out causing this problem. Simply install a connector to the end of the wire and tape wire to eliminate the possibility of grounding out. This would be the first step that i would do! By the way how much did it cost to do the swap and how easy is it!. Good Luck!

Cheers!!
