Hey I was just wondering if anyone is going to attend/compete in the April 8th SCCA event at Gateway? I was planning on going but my car is still in Hawaii. Maybe if I can find a cheap hatch or crx before then. Well just wanted to know if anyone else was going to show.
Thanks

You can register online, which is recommended. That way they have a chance to know who's in what group and all that. Also, these can sell out. You should have a shop or someone tech your car prior to the event, then the SCCA will tech your car again just to make sure once you arrive that day.94gsr;173143 wrote:so the way i read it is you just show up then do registation, and go to tech.

As far as helmets, if you plan on doing multiple events, I would recommend just purchasing one. I would say get a SA2005 if anything, b/c then you're covered at the other club events as well. Bob (GTI Guy) would know if they will have rental helmets available or not at the track, so you might get in touch with him regarding that.

They will have a sack of Loaner helmets there but you can buy decent helmets from the SPS trailer for like $80 so if you are interested in the sport its a worthy investment. I wont be at this event, it is in the middle of the week and I don't trust the brakes for a track day. I'll stick to AutoX for the rest of this season.

Just to clarify, you can NOT show up at the event to participate ... have to register online in advance, and the event closes on April 6
Go to the schedule page on www.stlpdx.com and pick the event to register ... hope to see you there, it's a blast!
