intake manifold question
oh, i see...thanks for the physics lesson... i understand now that two different laws apply to the air flowing through an object and in an object..

intake manifold question
ok now that all that info is out there for who ever cares.....im glad i got my question answered......oh wait did i ??? i dont remember after reading all the pointless crap that was posted that had nothing to do with what i asked.... so looks like i have to ask someone somewhere else, and maybe just maybe ill get a straight forward answer instead of someone telling me that what i do is pointless.....so i guess we all just get our cars done there are no starting points..... its either you do a swap right now or dont do anyhitng cuz no matter what you do it will never be good enough for alot assholes that dont respect anyones work. i came and asked a simple question and end up reading about the physics on a f'n golf ball??? wtf ........ and i thought it was just people on clubcivic that were douchebags....guess i was wrong

WTF do you mean? Everything in this thread relates to your topic. I answered your question and told you exactly what to do, as did Spork and N2HIFI.civic97hx;81634 wrote:ok now that all that info is out there for who ever cares.....im glad i got my question answered......oh wait did i ??? i dont remember after reading all the pointless crap that was posted that had nothing to do with what i asked.... so looks like i have to ask someone somewhere else, and maybe just maybe ill get a straight forward answer instead of someone telling me that what i do is pointless.....so i guess we all just get our cars done there are no starting points..... its either you do a swap right now or dont do anyhitng cuz no matter what you do it will never be good enough for alot assholes that dont respect anyones work. i came and asked a simple question and end up reading about the physics on a f'n golf ball??? wtf ........ and i thought it was just people on clubcivic that were douchebags....guess i was wrong

intake manifold question
sliver i think u were the most help, it just gets on my nerves when u ask a simple question about an intake manifold and it evloves into a fuckin physics lesson, thats not what i asked, nor do i care, i was just curious as to what manifold would be a direct bolt on, not why there are dimples on a golf ball.... i understand that i might not have my engine built now but there has got to be a starting point. Im not trying to be a dick i just dont care about all the other shit, i just asked for a simple answer and i think you answered it best but im still not sure as to what other manifolds will work...... i guess i should have just stuck with a damn j body

how about you chill out and read some of that stuff so next you time you dont have to ask such a simple question, when in reality you probably could have searched a different forum, H-T, and found your answer in a few minutes.civic97hx;81638 wrote:sliver i think u were the most help, it just gets on my nerves when u ask a simple question about an intake manifold and it evloves into a fuckin physics lesson, thats not what i asked, nor do i care, i was just curious as to what manifold would be a direct bolt on, not why there are dimples on a golf ball....

d16z6, d16y8, edelbrock performer x, venom style, custom manifolds all will increase air flow.

thanks rickles, do u know which stock manifold would be better for N/A?

it depends on what your setup is. if youre mostly stock, a d16y8 manifold, if youre mildly built, a d16y8 or edelbrock, if youre going all out, an edelbrock or venom type. it has a lot to do with where you want your powerband. the more extreme the intake manifold, the more you will lose bottom end hp and tq, but gain a lot more up top. which is what your want to run if you have a built head.civic97hx;81651 wrote:thanks rickles, do u know which stock manifold would be better for N/A?
if you have a stock engine, i would suggest a 60mm throttle body port matched and mated with a d16y8 intake manifold port matched to the head. you will get plenty of increased air flow and keep the velocity up for torque.
