ep3 throttle body question
ive got a good friend that ports and polishes throttle bodies with really good results on many a car.....he really wants to do mine, but im hearing mixed opinions as to whether or not i should let him touch mine....can i get some input on this one?? he typically works on american muscle cars, but has experience with some imported sport compact cars but NO hondas......he has explained to me in detail why it is no different than any other throttle body, but i have heard that honda has that down to the T.....what do you all think.....??

absolutely no point in doing it on a stock/close to stock motor.
This post comes with a guarantee: I guarantee that I don't care what you think about it.

i wouldnt do it whats the point? why would you want to increase the inlet while not increasing the outlet? if you had a header and exhaust maybe. otherwise its just time an energy that could be put towards something else...liquidd;68815 wrote:he, and everyone i met whos car he has done it to(that were stock OR I/E and nothing more) claimed to have felt decent gains ---focus svt, audi quattro, mustang-duh-, eagle talon n/a-----etc...........what i want to know is, will it hurt, or impede my vehicle or its performance? i just keep hearing that honda is different..........i want to know why....

i called him.....hes out of town on business.....his g/f said she'll have him call me tonight or tomorrow when she talks to him, so ill def get back with you on that..............why is the race header and magnaflow a bad combo?? not much power/sounds bad...or something else?----also when you say heat shield gasket, are you talking intake manifold??? if so, did you notice the potential 5% gain that is claimed?
