They're just jumping on the bandwagon to highlight last year's biggest fad, and they had to cut out drag racing to be able to justify it financially. They knew that if they had drifting and drag racing, there would be small crowds watching both, but there wouldn't be any big crowds for anything.

Unfortunately, NOPI was always a joke for import drag racing. None of the big dogs ever came out to play for the national tours. The only show that used to be worth going to was NOPI in Atlanta, but when they took it across the country, IMO it got really dumbed down and lost its original luster. It suddenly became too accessible.

if nopi would be held at KC, it would be huge...look at the import face-off there every year.. KC = drag racers. STL = slow show cars. IFO even tried to schedule an event this year at gateway and the fucks turned them down because its somehow a conflict of interest with that stupid mathew7000 douche.

nope, ive been to a few nopis in stl back in the day and it was pretty big, ALOT of big dogs. but that fucking drifting bullshit ruined everything.

ya no drag racing sucks... there is a hole crew of use that come up there every year and go into nopi...NOT this year we all are going to come up there that weekend and hang out up there cause usualy there is a lot of people out that weekend... hopfully we can get a big group of people to geather and go have some of our own racing.... what do you all think??

this is the reason why noone wants to really come to gateway, matt will cry and whine because his midnight madness crowds will start spending their money somewhere else, the damn track needs to realize theres light outside of matts bubble, give some other events a chance

I never saw any of the real players, like Ryan Woon from AZ or Chris Ott and Ari Yallon from TX, never saw Ken Scheepers, or Gary from Sound Performance.

The real big dogs....the ones who make really fast import cars.
