just depends on how much money you want to spend:
1/2 ass($50-$200)=Springs
3/4ass($300-$600)=springs and tokico blues
1ass($700+++++)=Full blown coilovers
you may also want to think of camber kit($200 =/-) and also an alignment ($70+/_)

What do you expect out of the car? Is it a daily driver or weekend car? Drag or road racing?

JM i am running basically a Ground Controll coilover kit with tokiko blues on my EG and i have it pretty low. My car is pretty stripped so it rides a little rough but its really responsive and it seems to hook up pretty good also. Also i am rocking 17's right now and i know if i was on 15's it would ride ALOT smoother (because my EF has a similar set up and rides smooth an its on 16's)
here is front shot of how the car sits on 17's

that set up is probley in the 500.00 range for either SK2 coilovers or GC coilovers and 4 struts. The car clears speed bumps no problem at all even with the lip and it's probley lowered atleast 3-3 1/2 inches
